Acorn Community Centre
Welcome to the Acorn Community Centre, the heart of our community, here in Hartplain, Hampshire.
This absolutely superb facility was purpose-built by Havant Borough Council and opened in 2005, replacing a totally run-down site that people once tried to avoid.
Now at the heart of our area, we have bright well-designed facilities, welcoming and friendly. This is now a place to meet with friends and to discover how precious it is to live within a community.

The focus of the Acorn Community Centre is to serve those who live in and around the area (although all are welcome) by providing services sought by and of benefit to the community.
The Acorn Centre is managed by a group of trustees, all local to the area, all actively involved with day to day operations. There are also 3 part-time staff* and a team of volunteers. We all work together, supporting each other with one heart, to help make this a community you would want to be part of.
To keep the Acorn Centre viable we have to "balance the books". To this end we run a café, charity shop and laundrette. We also have an well-equipped IT suite and many other rooms that can be hired, with refreshments as needed. This is a fantastic place to hold seminars, private parties and so much more.
We would be delighted for you to visit and take a look around, meet the team and see how we can help you. Or call us on 023 9225 8423.
Ann Waters (Chair of Trustees)
